Dr Ibrahim Hussain BDS, MFDS.RCSEd, MJDF.RCSEng, M.Med.Sci Implantology, Dental Surgeon
While furthering his clinical skills in the USA, Ibrahim developed a particular interest in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He was awarded a Masters in Implantology from the University of Sheffield and his published research is in the field of bone grafting. He has passed examination at The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a member by examination of both the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and in London. He has been performing much of his dentistry under a microscope for 9 years and also has a special interest in dermal filler and botulinum toxin treatment, for which he is a clinical teacher at the University of Central Lancashire. Dr Hussain lectures post graduate dentists internationally and supervises practical placement of dental implants on a number of internationally renowned implantology courses. He has authored publications in this field. He is now accepting referrals for implant, aesthetic and surgical/micro-surgical dentistry.
Dr Natasha Azzopardi BChD M.Med.Sci. Restorative, Dental Surgeon & Clinical Director
Natasha has been awarded her Masters in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Sheffield. She was previously a clinical demonstrator at the University of Malta, and has lectured internationally on the topic of adhesive dentistry and tooth wear. She works in purely private practice and has a special interest in aesthetic dentistry and occlusal rehabilitation. She has authored published research and has been restoring implants for 6 years, in combination with complex full-mouth rehabilitation cases. She has experience with all the major implant systems. She is also a FastBraces ® Provider. She is very patient and makes the most anxious patients feel at ease. She accepts referrals at Millhouses Dental, Cosmetic & Implant Clinic.
Dr David Kostiuk BDS
David graduated from the Charles Clifford Dental School, Sheffield in 2010, and has since gained vast experience in general dentistry developing a special interest in the treatment nervous patients who may have had trouble seeking treatment elsewhere. He also has a keen interest in Oral Surgery and Implants.
In his spare time he is a keen musician, enjoys sport and fitness.
Dr Xiangyi Gao BDS. (Dalian, China) MMedSci (Sheffield)
Dr Xiangyi (pronounced Shang-yi) acquired excellent clinical skills and a solid knowledge foundation in over 10 years clinical and teaching experience at Dalian Municipal Central Hospital (Teaching Hospital) in China. During this time he developed a great interest in Restorative Dentistry, choosing to extend his education with an MMedSci in Restorative Program in Sheffield University where he excelled in complicated restorative cases, and especially aesthetic cases. Dr Xiangyi's holistic approach ensures he takes the time to properly listen to his patients, ensuring he finds understands their real concerns and meet their individual needs. In 2010, he was invited by the CCTV (China Central Television - the state television broadcaster) Channel 2 as dental specialist to guest a health program Health Morning Express. Dr Abdurahman El-Awa BDS (Hons.), MFDS RSC Edinburgh, MSurgDent RCS England, CCST (OS), ISFE, FDS (OS) RCS Edinburgh
Abdurahman El-Awa completed his Oral Surgery specialist-training at the University of Sheffield, and is currently a Consultant in Oral Surgery at the Central Manchester Foundation Trust and the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation trust. He is the lead Paediatric Oral Surgeon at Manchester University Dental Hospital and is also an active member of the Dental Implant Multidisciplinary team. In addition to treating patients, Abdurahman also teaches postgraduate and undergraduate Dental and Medical students various oral surgery procedures, under both general and local anaesthetic as well as being involved in the teaching and training of clinical teachers who attend for supervision of the undergraduate students. Abdurahman has extensive experience in all aspects of Oral Surgery, Dental Implants, Bone Grafting, Conscious Sedation and Dent-Alveolar procedures. During his specialist training, Abdurahman developed an interest in Paediatric Oral Surgery and Apical Surgery. As a Specialist Registrar at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals he works closely with other dental specialities running joint clinics with Orthodontic, Paediatric and Restorative dentistry colleagues.
In his spare time, Abdurahman enjoys Scuba Diving, Fell Running and Spear Fishing.
Emma Marsh, RDN, DHT, Dental Hygiene Therapist
Emma is a highly skilled Dental Therapist, who can provide first class care for your gums. She previously worked in the most prestigious area of London, renowned for the highest possible standard of private dental care, working with some of the UK's leading clinicians. She has a lot of experience in care for patients who have dental implants and advanced restorative dentistry. She is also able to perform restorative dentistry, and has a keen interest in treating anxious patients. Her work can only be described as thorough, and of an extremely high standard. She is a much sought-after clinician, and we are lucky to have her here at Millhouses Dental, Cosmetic & Implant Clinic.
Lyndsay Wood, Dental Nurse
Lyndsay has vast experience in Customer Relations. She also has a special interest in the care of nervous patients, having previously gone through extensive dental treatment, she can fully empathise with those who are going through a similar experience. She regularly assists complex implant, restorative and periodontology procedures with the clinicians at Millhouses Dental, Cosmetic & Implant Clinic. I simply love seeing the breath- taking results that we achieve with the smile makeovers that are performed at our clinic.
